Abstract

Die Kartenabteilung P 23 (Karten Herrschaft Schlitz) ist neben P 1 (Alte Karten und Pläne bis 1918) wichtigster Bestand für die älteren gedruckten Karten im Staatsarchiv Darmstadt, darunter Werke von Johann Bussemacher, Johann Baptist und Johann Christoph Homann, Georg Christoph Kilian, Guillaume de L'Isle, Tobias Mayer, Nicolas Sanson, Pieter Schenk, Matthäus Seutter und Nicolas Visscher. Daneben Gemarkungs- und Forstkarten der Gräflich Görtz'schen Besitzungen um Schlitz und in der Wetterau, Baupläne der Familienwohnsitze und Hofgüter, Pläne von Gärten, Brücken, Wasseranlagen, von Architekturdetails und Möbeln sowie Konstruktionszeichnungen für landwirtschaftliche und Brauerei-Maschinen.
