Die umfangreiche Plakatsammlung der Stiftung besteht aus den Sammlungen der Parteien und Massenorganisationen der DDR. Den größten Anteil haben die Plakate der SED, des FDGB, der FDJ und der Gesellschaft für DSF. In geringerem Umfang sind Plakte der NDPD, des Nationalrates der Nationalen Front, des DFD, des DTSB, der GST, des Kulturbundes und der VdgB vorhanden. In der Sammlung befinden sich auch Plakate von Parteien und Organisationen der Arbeiterbewegung aus der Zeit vor 1945, Plakate der PDS, Plakate aus der Bundesrepublik Deutschland, v. a. von der KPD, der DKP, der SPD und der Friedensbewegung, sowie Plakate aus verschiedenen Ländern.Die Sammlung umfasst ca. 14.000 Motive (rund 30.000 Stk.).

Das Fotoatelier Kugler wurde von Johann Gottlieb Friedrich Kugler (1851-1907) gegründet und nach seinem Tod 1907 bis 1918 wahrscheinlich von einer Erbengemeinschaft weitergeführt. 1920 übernahmen Kuglers Tochter Anna und ihr Mann Ernst Reinhard Karl Franz Heinemann das Fotoatelier und hatten es bis zu seinem Tod 1938 inne. Erbe war Anna Heinemanns Sohn aus erster Ehe Hermann Etter, nach dessen Tod 1958 das Kuglersche Haus an den Landesverband der Schweinezüchter in Württemberg-Hohenzollern e.V. verkauft wurde, auf dessen Dachboden die Fotoplatten 1992 wiederentdeckt wurden.Digitalisiert sind etwa 2.000 Aufnahmen.Bestandssignatur: StAS N 1/68.

The collection includes rare photographs, some of which were published in the early 1900s. A variety of subjects is being illustrated: Greeks and Bulgarians, the stars of the military encounters known as the Macedonian Struggle. Representatives of the Youngturkish movement, important historical events such as the Ilinden uprising, the Macedonian Struggle, the Youngturkish movement, the Balkan Wars, World War I etc. In addition, the collection illustrates some least known but shcoking events of the time like the Abbot kidnapping, the Simota Case, the Chevallier Case etc. The collection is an exceptional sample of the topography and the anthropography of that time.

The collection includes postal cards from the period 1904-1918. They depict places of Macedonia, economic activities of the rural population and portraits of Macedonian Fighters (Makedonomachoi). Most of the postal cards have notes in French.

The collection includes rare photographs, some of which were published in "Le Monde illustré" (1903, 1908) and "L’Illustration" (1876, 1903, 1908, 1909) magazines, as well as early postal cards (19th-20th c.). The photographs depict the period of military conflicts in Macedonia during 1904-1908. Available is also photographic material from the First Balkan War (1912). There are pictures of cultural and musical associations of Macedonia, as well as of social and school activities. The majority of the photographs portrays military guerrilla groups and portraits of Greek Macedonian Fighters (Makedonomachoi).

The album includes 423 photographs of the period 1904-1908, which depict cities and communities/towns of Greek Macedonia, the social and economic life in villages of Greek Macedonia, as well as the urban landscape of Thessaloniki.
