The core collection of cold weapons, guns and uniforms consists of objects that have their origin or relationship to the Czech Republic or they have origin in the Central and Western Europe. Marginally there are several pieces of guns from America and Australia.

The collection includes objects mainly from district of Rumburk city, district of Děčín, Germany, Austria and Czech Republic.The oldest items are archaeological finds comes from the Paleolithic.Collection also includes glass, ceramics, furniture, paintings, betlehems, estate of musician and composer Augusta Stradal - the last pupil of F. This file consists of 77 records covering the late 19th century and early 20th. Significant personalities to the Unification of Crete are presented, such as prince George, Alexandros Zaimis, Manousos Koundouros, as well as great Cretan militants.

Georgakakis, Eleftherios Venizelos and military matters of the period, the diaries and notes of Georgakakis and his comrades in arms during several wars from 1912 to 1921, as well as his diplomas and credentials for his participation in those wars and battles.Moreover, the collection contains military documents (orders, notes, reports, correspondence, certificates etc) from the war of North Epirus (1914), the Ukraine campaign (1919) and the Asia Minor campaign (1920, 1921).It also contains official reports on important military achievements, such as the liberation of Metsovo (1912), the occupation of Korytsa etc., as well as military and personal correspondence of Georgakakis with his comrades and his captain Geogrios Tsontos-Vardas.

This archive contains 4 files comprising 45 records on the topics: “Eleftherios K. Venizelos”, “Portraits”, “Cretan Issue” and “Various”. It covers the late 19th and early 20th century.

Τhe Photographic Archive digital collection covers part of E.L.I.A.’s Photographic Archive and is accompanied by 48,000 digital pictures (positive and negative).The collection extends in time from the middle of the 19th to the end of the 20th century. The following are indicative of the wide range of subjects captured in the photographs: people, social and political reportage, views, architecture and the environment, art and science, education, work, landmarks in military and political history.

The archive contains 1 file of 15 records. It consists of documents about the Campaign in Asia Minor, the Greek population of Asia Minor and its rehabilitation.

The photographs depict the period of military conflicts in Macedonia during 1904-1908. Available is also photographic material from the First Balkan War (1912). There are pictures of cultural and musical associations of Macedonia, as well as of social and school activities. The majority of the photographs portrays military guerrilla groups and portraits of Greek Macedonian Fighters (Makedonomachoi).

The file comprises 64 records covering the period of the late 19th century to 1910. It contains postcards of the Greco-Turkish War, the Balkan Wars, the Macedonian War and the First World War.

The collection consists of 3 files comprising 110 records. The material covers the period 1960 - 1965.The first file contains cuttings of the newspaper “Athinaiki” of 1961, including a series of articles by Leontas Makkas, enitled “The National Discord”. The second file contains manuscript and printed notes by Dimitrios Vakkas about the movement of Thessaloniki (1916), as well as his correspondence with historians, journalists etc. about the same matter.The third file contains material about the movement of Thessaloniki (1916): a series of articles by Dim. Vakkas, his letters, as well as the series of articles by P. Argyropoulos and Tsakonas about the movement.

The album includes 423 photographs of the period 1904-1908, which depict cities and communities/towns of Greek Macedonia, the social and economic life in villages of Greek Macedonia, as well as the urban landscape of Thessaloniki.

The archive contains 4 files comprising 555 records that cover the Campaign and Destruction of Asia Minor (1919-1922). This photographic material is of great political and military importance.

This digital collection is part of the Benaki Museum’s Photographic Archives Department, which was established in 1973 to collect, preserve and document photographs of Early Christian, Byzantine and post-Byzantine art and architecture. Since then the Department’s original scope has gradually been extended to cover images of Greece and its culture, as well as its history and contemporary society. The Photographic Archives Department comprises 300,000 negatives and 25,000 original photographs dating from the 19th and 20th centuries. It was created through the purchase or donation of important collections, including those of the professional photographers Nelly's, Voula Papaioannou, Pericles Papachatzidakis, Dimitris Harissiadis, Nikolaos Rizos, Nikolaos Tombazis, as well as those of the amateur photographers Rena Andreadi, Stephanos Malikopoulos, Loukas Benakis, and Ioannis Charamis. The Department also contains the photograph collections of the Byzantinologist Laskarina Boura, the architect Maria Zagorisiou, and the writer Elli Papadimitriou. The Photographic Archives Department is open to all researchers. For their assistance a card catalogue of 50,000 prints was compiled based on subject matter and location. Moreover, there are plans create a complete electronic catalogue of the entire collection in the near future.

The material covers two periods: the first part refers to the year of 1916 and the second to the period of 1920-1922, with emphasis on September 1922.G. Bousios' political correspondence with politicians, members of the armed forces and other officials of Macedonia on the occupation of Grevena and the course of the First World War.Also, political correspondence, during G. Bousios' term of office as Minister of Interior (1922), as well as of the two previous years.

The digital archival collection “Culture and the Left in the 20th century” attempts to portray the relation between Greek left and art and culture during the 20th century (1900-1974): ideological trends, art movements, discussions on art and culture, literature, fine arts. The main objective of this archive was to focus on the discussions on culture and not on the works of art themselves. The vast majority of the selected material comes from newspapers, journals and books. The digital material is divided in three categories (publications, archival material, photographs), is incorporated in the database in a chronological order and is available to the public.
