Abstract

Die Sammlung umfasst digitalisierte Bände aus dem Bestand des Bayerischen Landesamtes für Denkmalpflege. Nachdem 1887 die Inventarisierung der Kunstdenkmäler Bayerns vom Königlich Bayerischen Staatsministerium des Innern für Kirchen- und Schulangelegenheiten angeordnet worden ist entstand in den darauf folgenden Jahren ein umfangreiches Quellenwerk aus Aufmaßzeichnungen, Plänen und Fotografien. Zwischen 1895 und 1972 entstanden 112 Bände der so genannten alten Reihe, zu den acht Bezirken Bayern. Eine Auswahl davon ist durch die digitale Sammlung zur Ansicht verfügbar genmacht.
