Hana Benesova, whose maiden name was Anna Vlckova, was the wife and life-long partner of Czechoslovakian president Dr. Edvard Benes.The bequeathed estate comprises historical furniture in various styles (Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism and pieces from the 19th and 20th centuries). Some furniture was probably purchased during their exile stay in England. Moreover, the bequeathed estate comprise a number of significant works of art – paintings (by A. Slavicek, J. Preisler, V Rabas and others), graphics (engravings by Hollar, historic maps and so on), sculptures and applied art (glass, ceramics, lamps and art lattices), components of folk costumes and personal things. Written documents comprise correspondence and various receipts and other documents and also photos.
