Abstract

Die "Sächsische Biografie" - das Online-Lexikon zur sächsischen Geschichte - bietet Informationen zu über 9.500 historisch bedeutsamen Personen, die in der Mark Meißen, in Kursachsen bzw. im Königreich bis hin zum heutigen Freistaat Sachsen gewirkt haben.Neben einer Datenbank mit Kurzinformationen zu den Personen bietet die digitale "Sächsische Biografie" eine ständig wachsende Zahl von Lexikonartikeln zu Persönlichkeiten aus allen Lebensbereichen – so z.B. aus Wissenschaft und Kunst, Politik und Verwaltung, Wirtschaft und Technik, Handel und Verkehr, Schule, Kirche und soziales Leben.
