Abstract

Die Universitätsbibliothek Heidelberg verwahrt in ihren Tresoren drei sowohl bezüglich ihrer Inhalte als auch bezüglich ihrer Größe überaus bedeutende Handschriftenfonds. 893 Handschriften des 9.-17. Jahrhunderts stammen aus der sogenannten Bibliotheca Palatina, 30000 Drucke und 434 Handschriften aus der Sammlung des Zisterzienserklosters Salem (Codices Salemitani) und 4100 Einheiten aus dem Fonds der ´Heidelberger Handschriften´.
