Abstract

Die digitale Sammlung umfasst die Jahrgänge 1893 bis 1914 der "Chronik der Stadt Heidelberg".Die Jahreschronik ist eine wichtige Quelle zu Geschichte, Kultur und Wirtschaftsleben Heidelbergs und beinhaltet die bauliche Entwicklung, das Vereinsleben, Informationen zu Bildungsträgern, das Verkehrswesen, Festlichkeiten oder Witterungsverhältnisse der Stadt und ihrer Umgebung. Die Informationen liegen zum Teil statistisch aufbereitet vor. Auch demographische Entwicklungen werden aufgezeigt. Im Abschnitt "Totenschau" finden sich darüber hinaus, oft ausführliche Biographien über bedeutende Verstorbene der Stadt.
