Abstract

A selection of 100 posters from the collection of the Greek Film Archive was digitised, having first been preserved and restored.Especially after the Second World War, Greek film production increased significantly, with posters created from studios of artists such as Nikos Nikolaidis, Giorgos Vakirtzis, Stefanos Almaliotis, Spyros Vasileiou, Andreakos and others, which, besides their advertising and informative function, they were works of art themselves.
