Enigmart is an electronic educational application of a playful character addressed to secondary education students. The game’s basic purpose is to bring students into contact and familiarize them with significant Greek painters of Modern Greek art and their work, in particular with selected works and artists from the collection of the Teloglion Foundation of Art. The playful character was chosen purposefully in order to appeal to students and suggest alternative ways of approaching art. The application functions are in multiple levels. Initially the users are asked to follow a basic scenario which engages them in the plot and makes them responsible for the solution fo the problem posed. Then as the users navigate, they are given the opportunity to play many different games (puzzles, quizzes, observation and skill games) that have their basis on multiple paintings which can be approached in a creative and pleasant way.
