Abstract

Die im Laufe von rund 50 Jahren zusammengetragene Porträtgemäldesammlung Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleims, der sog. Freundschaftstempel. Gleim trug rund 200 Porträtgemälde befreundeter Dichter und großer Geister seiner Zeit zusammen. Unter den rund 145 Porträts, die heute im Gleimhaus aufbewahrt werden, sind einige Stücke, die seit der Einrichtung des Hauses als Museum zurück- oder neu hinzu erworben wurden sowie einige Dauerleihgaben des Landes Sachsen-Anhalt, die die Sammlung inhaltlich ergänzen.
