Abstract

Schwerpunktprogramme und Projekte entstehen aus der täglichen denkmalpflegerischen Arbeit, wobei die Rettung und Dokumentation archäologischer Befunde und Funde vor der endgültigen Zerstörung immer das Hauptziel ist. Projektschwerpunkte sind die Montanarchäologie, die Moorarchäologie, das Projekt Schöningen u.a. mit dem Fundplatz der ältesten Speere der Welt und die Erforschung der "Siedlungskammer Rullstorf."Die Schwerpunkte liegen auch auf der niedersächsischen Denkmallandschaft, häufig in Verbindung mit Untersuchungen zur Kulturlandschaft. Die Objekte werden mithilfe der ADABweb (Allgemeine, web-basierte Denkmaldatenbank) inventarisiert.
